Gravity didn't exactly meet my expectations, but it was a good movie nonetheless.
Negative Reception?
On my way out of the theatre and even inside the CR, I heard women complaining about how "bitin" the movie turned out to be and how they should have just watched another movie.
I hate to say it, but I have to agree with them:
it simply wasn't cut out for the average pinoy.
Hypothetically speaking, the general audience prefers fast-paced, suspenseful movies (like Avengers or Iron Man, for example). Now while Gravity, in my opinion, it wasn't material either - and that's where our problem stands.
Of course, that's not to say that it sucks.
